Overview
One of Ireland’s largest and most well-respected building contractors is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Dublin. With a portfolio spanning landmark commercial, residential, healthcare, and civil projects, this contractor has built a reputation for delivering excellence at every stage of construction. Responsibilities
* Manage cost planning and commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
* Prepare budgets, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
* Lead procurement activities, including subcontractor and supplier engagement.
* Monitor project costs, cash flow, and variations while providing regular reporting.
* Liaise with project managers, design teams, and site staff to ensure successful project delivery.
* Assist in dispute resolution and ensure compliance with contracts and company procedures.
* Provide mentorship and support to junior members of the commercial team.
Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
* 3–5 years’ post-graduate experience in a QS role.
* Proven track record on medium to large-scale building projects.
* Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts and procurement methods.
* Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QS software.
* Ambitious, proactive, and eager to progress within a Tier One contractor.
