Position Title: Youth Development Officer Bray

We focus on helping individuals and families facing difficult challenges, especially when they find it hard to access support.
Location:
Bray Environs – including Newtown, Kilcoole, and extended to Greystones.
Contract:
1 Year Fixed Term Contract
Reporting to:
Youth Service Manager
The Role:
Deliver youth work programmes targeting young people identified as most in need in the area.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement programmes in line with funding and service requirements.
2. Ensure programmes align with Youth Work Processes and Models.
3. Work up to three nights per week and on weekends as required.
4. Organise and participate in residentials as part of youth work programmes.
5. Attend staff meetings within the region.
6. Represent the Youth Service at various committees if requested.
7. Submit all paperwork within specified timeframes.
8. Apply for relevant grants in consultation with your Line Manager.
9. Work within the ethos and values of Crosscare.
10. Implement the Crosscare strategy.
11. Attend relevant training sessions.
12. Manage challenging behaviours and situations.
13. Collaborate with the Youth Service Team.
14. Perform any other duties assigned by your Line Manager.
Qualifications:
* Relevant third-level qualification in Youth Work or related area.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in the sector.
* Full clean driving license is desirable.
