About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Data Science Manager to spearhead our fraud prevention efforts. As a key player in our anti-fraud strategy, you will leverage advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions to stay ahead of evolving threats.
In this role, you will lead a dynamic team focused on developing and implementing innovative fraud detection solutions that push the boundaries of current technology. Your expertise will drive business outcomes through data-driven risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and guide a team of data scientists in developing and executing fraud prevention strategies through advanced detection models and algorithms.
* Own a business domain and develop data-driven risk management strategies to support global business objectives.
* Track and evaluate the performance of fraud detection systems against key KPIs and business goals.
* Tackle complex, ambiguous business problems, driving planning and execution of long-term projects from start to finish.
* Collaborate with product and platform teams to create scalable, secure, and innovative products that enhance customer experience.
* Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure fraud risk management efforts align with overall company objectives.
* Stay informed on emerging trends, techniques, and technologies, applying knowledge to continuously evolve and strengthen fraud prevention capabilities.
What You Need to Succeed
* A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent), with 8+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 6+ years of professional experience in a related field.
* Experience working in the fraud domain, with demonstrated ability to take personal ownership of complex challenges.
* Industry experience in payments, e-commerce, or financial services is preferred.
* A minimum of 2 years of managerial experience is required.
* A quick thinker with broad general knowledge and strong aptitude for problem-solving.
* Exceptional communication and soft skills, with ability to present complex ideas clearly to leadership.
