Job Summary
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for supporting day-to-day production operations by operating manufacturing equipment, assembling components, monitoring process performance, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient, safe, and compliant manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Perform basic assembly, testing, and packaging of products
Set up machines and production lines for daily operations and changeovers
Inspect products and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, defects, or process deviations
Perform routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment
Accurately complete production documentation, logs, and checklists
Follow safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements at all times
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Lean Manufacturing
Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to meet production goals
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Technical certificate or vocational training preferred
0–2 years of manufacturing or production experience (entry-level candidates welcome)
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical documents
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds as required
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed
Preferred Skills (Optional)
Experience with automated or semi-automated equipment
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma principles
Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA
