Job Title: Staff Grade Speech & Language Therapist

Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated Staff Grade Speech & Language Therapist to join our team delivering high-quality services in an acute hospital setting. The successful candidate will work with adult inpatients presenting with a range of communication and swallowing disorders, contributing to person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adult patients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
* Manage a caseload within an acute care setting, including patients with complex medical and neurological conditions.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support integrated care planning and discharge processes.
* Contribute to service development, clinical audits, and outcome measurement.
* Participate in CPD activities and clinical supervision.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with professional and legal standards.
Essential Requirements:
* A recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
* CORU registration (or eligibility for same).
* Clinical experience in the assessment and management of communication and dysphagia in adults.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable:
* Postgraduate training in dysphagia.
* Previous experience in an acute hospital setting.
* Familiarity with outcome measures in speech and language therapy.
* Experience using electronic medical record systems.
