What you need to know
A well-established law firm based in Carlow is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary on a temporary basis to join their busy and growing team.
This is a monthly contract initially with a strong possibility of an extension into something more long term.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, fully onsite.
Your new job
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide secretarial and administrative support to solicitors.
* Handle audio typing of correspondence, legal documents, and briefs (70+ wpm).
* Prepare and file legal documentation and maintain accurate client records.
* Liaise with clients, solicitors, and external parties professionally.
* Maintain and update case files using a case management system (Evolve experience an advantage).
* Assist with diary management, e-filing, and general office administration.
What are we looking for?
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary in a busy general practice.
* Strong knowledge of conveyancing and probate processes.
* Excellent audio typing skills (70+ wpm).
* Experience using a case management system; Evolve desirable.
* Strong organisational and communication skills with great attention to detail.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
