Elecnor is looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to join our dynamic team for the New Zealand project in Te Aroha, Waikato Region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the organization’s compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. The HSE Advisor will collaborate closely with management and employees to develop, implement, and maintain effective HSE policies and procedures.

THE ROLE
* Implement our HSE management system and best practices
* Conduct audits and inspections to identify hazards
* Assess risks, and apply necessary control measures
* Provide guidance on HSE requirements, policies, and procedures
* Work with internal teams to design and deliver training programs
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses
* Implementing corrective and preventive actions
* Coordinate and participate in emergency response drills
* Exercises, ensuring employees are well-prepared for emergencies
* Monitor and report on HSE performance, compiling data
* Preparing reports, and identifying areas for improvement
* Track HSE regulations, trends, and best practices
* Represent the organization in HSE audits, inspections, and meetings
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting HSE initiatives
ABOUT YOU
* Minimum Cert IV in WHS/OHS or
* Relevant field such as occupational health and safety, environmental management
* Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar HSE Advisor
* A deep understanding of local health, safety, and environmental legislation
* Proven experience in implementing, and monitoring safety management systems
* Local driver license.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
