RWS is looking for an outstanding Enterprise eLearning Business Development Director specialized in the Learning & Development field to join as a subject matter expert and drive our sales performance with new and existing clients. The role also involves building partnerships within the eLearning sector to expand RWS’s network for global eLearning delivery. Knowledge of the L&D vertical and landscape is essential for developing this role.

The Enterprise eLearning Business Development Director is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing business with L&D clients seeking solutions for language services and technology challenges, working with RWS—a company with over six decades of experience serving the world’s leading brands.

This role requires generating a pipeline by prospecting and acquiring new customers through effective sales strategies. You will collaborate with business consultants and operational teams to present suitable solutions.

Support from inside sales and marketing is available, but the primary focus is on hunting new business opportunities.

About the Strategic Content Solutions (SCS)

The SCS, part of RWS’s Language Services division, works with major accounts and clients of all sizes expanding globally, offering localization services including content translation, media, audio, engaging eLearning programs, and transcription for marketing campaigns. SCS leverages RWS’s LXD platform, which includes 2,000 in-house linguists and a network of over 29,000 translators, utilizing proprietary AI, machine translation, and translation tools to deliver 24/7 services.

Key Responsibilities

* Devise and implement lead generation campaigns, including partnerships, networking, cold calling, and messaging strategies.
* Build strong relationships with new and existing clients.
* Identify opportunities within small and medium enterprises.
* Align business drivers with suitable services and solutions.
* Coordinate with inside sales to optimize results.
* Collaborate with operational teams regarding new opportunities.
* Develop a robust pipeline and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
* Build a long-term pipeline.
* Develop an eLearning network across EMEA and other regions, involving partners who generate content requiring translation and globalization.
* Support and implement partner programs in the L&D environment.
* Achieve revenue growth goals in conjunction with management.
* Follow up on pipeline for business expansion.
* Foster strong client relationships and internal collaboration.
* Include RWS representatives in client meetings as appropriate.
* Provide management updates and seek feedback.

Skills & Experience

* 4+ years of sales experience in the Learning & Development sector.
* Consistent record of meeting/exceeding quotas.
* Proven ability to secure meetings with decision-makers.
* Ability to analyze problems, gather data, and present solutions.
* Respectful and commanding presence with clients.
* Experience with Salesforce.

Subject Matter Expertise in:

* L&D Technologies and Platforms: LMS, LXP, Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Captivate, SCORM & xAPI.
* Learning Content Types & Strategies.
* Translation and Technology Integration: TMS integration with L&D tools.
* AI-powered Translation Solutions (Neural Machine Translation).
* Legal aspects of translation in L&D, especially for regulated industries.
* Accessible Learning: WCAG or 508 compliance.
