We are partnering with a Galway Medical Device client who are looking to hire a Production Supervisor for their evening shift. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and support production operators, technicians, and material handlers.
2. Oversee daily production to achieve targets for quality, safety, cost, and delivery.
3. Troubleshoot issues promptly and make effective decisions to maintain workflow.
4. Manage staffing, training, development, performance reviews, and attendance.
5. Maintain a positive and motivated team culture.
6. Plan and manage production schedules to meet deadlines.
7. Monitor KPIs including throughput, yield, and schedule adherence.
8. Report downtime, defects, and variances accurately.
9. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
10. Manage inventory levels and material availability.
11. Complete administrative duties such as updating metrics and attendance records.
12. Work collaboratively with logistics, engineering, and quality teams.
13. Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
14. 3–4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
15. Level 7 Supervisory Management qualification (desirable).
16. Strong leadership, organisational, and planning skills.
17. Ability to motivate teams and handle conflict effectively.
18. Knowledge of cost control, downtime impact, and inventory management.
19. Experience working with KPIs and continuous improvement processes.
20. Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
21. Strong communication skills with a positive and proactive attitude.
22. Ability to analyse production data and drive improvements in efficiency and quality.
