Electrical Engineer - Project Lead
As a senior electrical engineer, you will be responsible for leading engineering activities on specific construction projects. This involves coordinating technical design with onsite installation through to successful commissioning.
The scope of activities will vary and will be agreed upon with the project manager. You will oversee the completion of electrical design reviews to identify gaps, deviations, or contradictions in specifications.
Other key responsibilities include validating cable & containment sizing, making recommendations as appropriate, and ensuring that technical assessments are completed promptly and issues are resolved efficiently.
You will also compile and issue electrical technical submittals, assist with value engineering opportunities and proposals, manage submittals through approval processes, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment, and verify receipt upon delivery.
Additionally, you will attend and record supply chain meetings to monitor progress within the construction schedule, update and record progress on system trackers aligned with the construction schedule, and manage and coordinate the CAD/BIM model in line with the M&E services coordination plan.
Furthermore, you will review electrical installation designs with the CAD/BIM team for constructibility and space considerations, liaise with design teams and supply chain for operational success and handover, conduct electrical system walk-downs to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings, and compile test packs, FTOPs, and O&Ms for approval.
Finally, you will manage specialist vendors during commissioning to ensure timely completion, review tenders technically when required, mentor junior and graduate engineers, and conduct client training as per the training plan.
