Company Overview
Busy civil contractor, working on a range of substation and overhead line projects in the Irish high voltage (HV) industry. We require Project Managers with civils experience on a contract basis. Schemes are mainly within the Greater Dublin region, but also further afield — therefore a willingness to travel is important.
Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership of civils projects in the HV sector, in line with the agreed programme.
Create project strategies and plans.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
Ensure appropriate management of project resources.
Make sure tasks and responsibilities are clearly understood by the various teams and individuals.
Provide project progress reports.
Make sure company policies are adhered to at all times.
Show thorough understanding of the commercial aspect of projects, cost implications, sub-contracts etc.
Build and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including client, sub-contractors, suppliers and other supply‑chain partners.
Requirements
Previous project management experience in the power / HV / T&D or utility / multi‑utilities sectors.
Experience managing civil engineering schemes in the above areas, covering ducting, trenching, cables, excavations etc.
Driving licence.
Safe Pass.
