Lead Principal System Engineer for High-Speed Communication Interfaces (LPDDR)

We are looking for a Lead Principal System Engineer to take ownership of the IO subsystem for automotive microcontrollers, focusing on high‑speed memory interfaces (LPDDR). Join us at the pulse of technology in Dublin!
Responsibilities
* Define new high‑speed interfacing architecture for functional components and transfer requirements to development teams.
* Lead engineering for high‑speed memory interfaces (LPDDR).
* Drive system‑level understanding and consistent behaviour across silicon derivatives and packaging variants.
* Contribute to IO configuration concepts, pad multiplexing strategies, and system‑level peripheral integration alignment.
* Act as the interface between application engineering and development teams, facilitating active knowledge transfer.
* Ensure appropriate sourcing strategy for high‑speed communication interfaces, collaborating with platform architects.
* Serve as the Technical Interface for internal and external IP providers, managing technical topics, identifying synergies, interacting with IP providers and pad‑frame teams, challenging requirements for area‑power‑performance, ensuring cost competitiveness, and guaranteeing ISO 26262 compliance by owning technical documentation.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 8 years of experience as a concept, design, or system engineer for microcontroller/SoC products.
* Experience defining and integrating LPDDR interfaces.
* Expertise with high‑speed interfaces across automotive, consumer, and networking applications.
* Strong knowledge of high‑speed clock, power supply, floorplanning, and physical constraints.
* Solid understanding of microcontroller system architectures and peripheral integration.
* Familiarity with automotive microcontroller architecture and sensitivity to market trends.
