The Specialist will serve as a resource for colleagues and allied professionals, advocating for patients and ensuring competence in area of speciality practice. Key responsibilities include:

1. Provision of nursing, education, and management consultation in the haematology/oncology service

2. Optimising quality and continuity of care for patients
">
3. Developing and implementing education programmes for multidisciplinary staff to benefit children and their parents
">
4. Coordinating routine and emergency admissions to the Paediatric unit
">
5. Liaising with Staff from the Haematology/Oncology unit to organise treatment administration in the Paediatric unit
">
6. Establishing close links with Shared Care managers to provide a seamless service to the OLOLH shared care centre
">
