Applications are now invited for the position of #003240 Postdoctoral Researcher Sustainable Nanomaterials and Hydrogen Systems, 16 Month Fixed Term Contract
This position is funded under the Research Ireland – Gas Networks Ireland Innovation Challenge and forms part of a newly awarded project focused on developing low-energy, sustainable pathways for renewable hydrogen generation from waste-derived resources, aligned with Ireland's energy transition and circular economy goals.
The project is led and supervised by Dr Conor Boland, with Dr James Carton as Co-Lead, and is based within the RAPID Institute at Dublin City University.
The research combines advanced materials science with applied energy systems research and stakeholder-informed technology development.
The successful candidate will carry out laboratory-based experimental research on novel materials-enabled hydrogen generation systems, contributing to the design, operation, and evaluation of bench-scale processes.
The role also involves collaboration with academic partners and engagement with non-academic stakeholders to support the development of scalable, environmentally credible hydrogen solutions.

Salary and Closing
Salary Scale: IUA Postdoctoral Researcher Salary Scale - €46,305 - €59,063
Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy.
