Job Title:
An experienced Financial Support Assistant is required to work closely with the Financial Controller, supporting the team and contributing to the smooth operation of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Raising invoices and issuing payment claims to customers in a timely manner
* Processing certificates, credit control, and daily communication with suppliers
* Updating databases with relevant information, ensuring accurate records and efficient financial processes
* Generating debtors reports, Intrasat & VIES revenue reporting, department reconciliations, and providing insightful financial analysis
* Maintaining procedural documentation (SOPs) and attending weekly finance meetings to ensure alignment with team goals and objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant, AP or AR role, with excellent accounting and numerical skills
* Accounting Technician qualification is desirable but not essential; proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Excel formulas, is necessary
* A good working knowledge of Sage 50 accounting package and experience with accounts reconciliations are required
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
