Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our team on a temporary basis. As a key member of our HR function, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support across a range of generalist activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first-line HR advice on issues such as disciplinary, grievance, and absence cases.
* Support or lead low-level investigations, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
* Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including interview scheduling and offer documentation.
* Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR systems to support compliance and reporting needs.
* Support the delivery of wellbeing initiatives, HR projects, and benefits administration.
* Draft and issue employment documentation including contracts and letters.
* Assist in delivering community engagement activities such as outreach events, school visits, and careers fairs.
Requirements:
* A relevant HR qualification and/or CIPD membership.
* At least 3 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in an industrial or engineering environment.
* Demonstrable experience in handling employee relations issues and supporting line managers.
* Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Confident user of Microsoft Office and HR systems.
