We are currently seeking a highly‑motivated Senior Psychologist to join our teams in Co. Wicklow.
Contract Type: Permanent and specified purpose posts. Contract Hours: Full and part‑time hours available. Salary Scale: €97,978 – €115,166 pro rata per annum, subject to Long Service Increments. Annual Leave Entitlement: 34 days per annum.
Overview of the Post
Work as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families within the region. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a psychology service to an assigned caseload, which may include children and their families on the community team and/or an assigned special school team. This will include assessment diagnostics and intervention, clinical and performance supervision and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities attending our service. Services are provided to children aged 0–18 years with physical, sensory, and/or learning disabilities, and/or developmental delay.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
Recognised university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) in Psychology, obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours, and meeting the Psychological Society of Ireland requirements to work as a Clinical Psychologist.
Irish post‑graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology.
Equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.
Demonstrate competence in the Care Group(s) applied for.
Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS).
At least five years’ satisfactory post‑graduate experience in the area of professional psychology, with no more than three years spent in gaining the post‑graduate professional qualification and no less than two years full‑time spent in post‑qualification experience as a professional psychologist.
Applicants with a clinical or counselling psychology qualification must have acquired at least 60 days of appropriate supervised clinical placements as part of the qualification or 60 days of post‑qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist in the areas for which they wish to apply – Disability (Child and Adult), Child Psychology, Adult Psychology.
Applicants with an educational psychology qualification must have acquired at least 60 days of appropriate supervised clinical placements as part of the qualification or 60 days of post‑qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist in the areas for which they wish to apply – Child Disability, Child Psychology.

Desirable Criteria
Previous experience in a senior post.
Experience of facilitating parent groups.
Experience of inter‑ or trans‑disciplinary team working.
Experience of working with children aged from birth to 18 years, with a range of disabilities (including physical disability, autism, learning disability) and their families.
Specific experience in assessment and intervention with children with physical disabilities and/or specific learning difficulties.
Qualification and experience in completing ASD diagnostic assessments.
Experience and training in formal supervision processes.
