A well-established food manufacturing company based in Naas, Co. Kildare is currently recruiting an Engineering Technician with a strong electrical background to join its on-site Engineering team.
This is a hands-on maintenance role within a fast-paced production environment, working a structured Monday–Friday shift pattern.
Shift Pattern:
* Monday to Friday
* Weekly rotating shifts
o 6:00am – 2:30pm
o 2:30pm – 11:00pm
o 8-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
* Electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and repair of plant and equipment
* Reactive and planned maintenance across production and site facilities
* Installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment
* PLC fault diagnostics (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider)
* Execution of preventive maintenance programmes
* Support utilities including compressed air and refrigeration systems
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and quality standards
* Liaise with equipment suppliers and oversee contractors
* Provide shift support to production as required

Requirements:
* Electrical qualification or time-served Electrician
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance role
* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostics capability
* Mechanical experience an advantage
* Experience with CMMS, motor control systems, pneumatics and temperature control
* PLC experience highly desirable
* Flexible, reliable and able to work on own initiative
