The CompanyOhshima Ireland LTD is currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our growing team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. Clare. This organisation has worldwide expertise but also a local presence within our specialized field. This will be a key role in the company and requires someone coming from a fast-paced multi-national company background.Job DescriptionMaintain quality standards by conducting visual inspection, measurements, testing and approval of incoming parts, first-off inspections, in-process inspections and finished product inspections; recording quality results and generating various quality reports.Job Duties and Responsibilities: Performing of in-process Inspection audits of work in progress, first off inspections and finished goods.Documentation and maintenance of records of such inspections as requiredLiaise with Customer services, Goods receipts & Purchasing to ensure timely response time to parts waiting incoming inspectionReport any findings of defective products and assist in suggestion for rework and continuous improvement to ensure no reoccurrences of such defects.Liaise with production to ensure quality of all products throughout facility is achievedWorking with calibrated equipment to measure productsEnsures the accuracy, appropriateness and maintenance of all inspection equipmentCreate detailed analysis reports on inspection results with suggested improvementsDevelop and/or assist in quality improvement schemes that support quality objectivesAny other duties advised by Production and Quality Manager/EngineersRecord inspection failures and keep a log to help drive continuous improvementKey Requirement:Experience in manufacturing industry is an advantage.Must have excellent English language skills in both reading and writing and excellent communication skills.Must have good computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.Must have strong attention to detail and have strong organisational skills.Ability to work well within a team environment with minimum of supervision.Ability to read & understand technical drawings is an advantage.Experience of dimensional measurement inspections using metric and imperial measurement units and use of calipers, height gauges, thread gauges is an advantageThis role requires candidates to be currently residing in Ireland with a valid work permit.
