Production Equipment Europe is a leading industrial distributor supplying over 90,000 products to customers across Europe. We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to work within our team based in Galway.
The Sourcing Specialist will work closely with managers and cross-functional teams within the organisation to help drive cost savings and maximise business opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Strategic sourcing of product and global procurement
* Negotiate pricing, deals, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers
* Identify, evaluate, and capitalise on opportunities to reduce sourcing costs, build on current product offering, and create additional value for customer base
* Conduct regular market and spend analysis to drive cost savings and supplier improvements
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure high quality & cost-effective solutions
* Partner with key internal stakeholders to develop business and maximise opportunities
* Manage tender enquiries and negotiation of contracts
* Work as part of a dynamic and experienced team to help achieve company goals
Skills & Experience
* Qualification or relevant industry-related experience, background in supply chain or sourcing preferred
* Proven track record of supplier evaluation, negotiation & selection
* Strong organisational & administration skills
* Ability to absorb technical information of products
* Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
* Good computer skills (MS Office), SAP ERP experience highly desirable
* Flexible & pro-active attitude with an ability to think strategically
* Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work as a team member
* Ability to work to agreed time scales and deadlines
