Financial Strategist
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned financial expert to join our team as a financial strategist. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing critical support to our divisional leaders by analyzing and interpreting complex financial data.
Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Participation in Audit Engagements: Collaborate with internal teams to complete audit engagements and compliance requirements, adhering to international standards.
* Month-end Entries and Allocations: Manage general ledger reconciliations, journal entry booking, and salary/department cost allocations to ensure seamless financial operations.
* Financial Reconciliations: Finalize monthly entries and reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts to maintain accurate records.
* P&L Analysis and FS Preparation: Analyze profit and loss statements, prepare financial statements, and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions.
Financial Analysis:
* Conduct In-depth Financial Analysis: Compare actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
* Identify Trends, Opportunities, and Risks: Support divisional performance improvements by identifying areas of improvement and developing strategic plans.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
* Develop and Maintain Annual Budgets: Collaborate with department heads to gather data, track key performance indicators, and deliver financial insights.
* Cash Flow Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular cash flow reporting and analysis to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification highly preferred.
* Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in accounting or finance (Big 4 experience preferred).
* Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of accounting principles, including Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
* Language Skills: Proficiency in both written and verbal English and Dutch is essential.
