PreviousSiemens Desigo experience is essential.This is a site-based, office-hours position, working with a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will join a dedicated on-site team delivering BMS automation expertise across multiple functions.Roles and ResponsibilitiesLead the upgrade, configuration, commissioning, operation, and optimisation of Qualified (GxP) and Non-Qualified (Non-GxP) BMS systems across the facility.Act as the technical lead for Siemens Desigo, ensuring reliable performance, compliance, and successful system integration.Provide subject matter expertise for BMS systems, supporting cross-functional teams including QA, facilities, and manufacturing.Mentor junior engineers and technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices.Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective delivery.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance energy efficiency, system reliability, and sustainability.Stay current with emerging BMS technology trends and apply innovative solutions.Support integration with HVAC controls, environmental monitoring, and energy management systems using protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or OPC.Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks including GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and ISA standards.RequirementsThird-level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum 8 years' experience working with BMS automated control systems, preferably within the Life Sciences/Pharma sector.Previous hands-on experience with Siemens Desigo CC is required.Exposure to other systems (e.g., ABB Cylon) is a plus.Strong knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, ANSI/ISA-S88, ISA-95, and 21 CFR Part 11.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
