We are looking for anEngineering Frontline Leaderto join our experienced on-site team in Dublin. In this role, you will act as the primaryTechnical Lead and People Manager, providing essential support for daily operations while serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mechanical reliability and team performance.ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Scoping: Take the lead on the scoping and execution of mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and small-scale engineering improvements.Operational Handover: Ensure all maintenance activities and machine enhancements are developed effectively and handed over seamlessly to the production teams.Standards & Specifications: Define technical requirements for spare parts and equipment upgrades; manage maintenance schedules and preventative maintenance (PM) workflows.Equipment Reliability: Oversee the selection and upkeep of mechanical systems for both ATEX and non-ATEX environments, ensuring equipment meets site safety standards.Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments for maintenance tasks and provide key mechanical input into HAZOP studies or safety audits.Budgetary Input: Prepare and manage the maintenance budget for your department, advising on capital requests for machine upgrades.Contractor Coordination: Direct and coordinate external contractors during plant shutdowns and specialized implementation phases.Technical Review: Review and approve technical documentation, including maintenance logs, CMMS data (Maximo/SAP), and compliance certifications.Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the site SME for mechanical systems, providing technical guidance to your team of 4-6 technicians and ensuring compliance with all site procedures.ExperienceStrong Technical Foundation: Trades qualification or engineering degree with heavy practical experience in mechanical fault-finding.Leadership Presence: Proven ability to lead a team of skilled technicians, setting daily priorities and holding the team accountable for safety and uptime.Hands-on Capability: Experience supervising and performing preventive and predictive maintenance on high-speed manufacturing equipment.ATEX Knowledge: A solid understanding of working safely within ATEX-regulated environments.Analytical Mindset: Ability to solve problems logically under pressure and lead basic root-cause analysis (5 Whys, 3Cs).Communication: Confidence to present performance data and improvement proposals to senior management.Software Proficiency: Experience using CMMS (Maximo or equivalent) to track performance and AutoCAD for reviewing technical drawings.To discover more about this opportunity please apply online or contact Lewis Murray on for a confidential discussion.
