We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and drive infrastructure automation, security, and reliability initiatives. You will manage and optimize our cloud-native infrastructure while upholding high standards of security, scalability, and operational excellence. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing our Azure-based infrastructure, implementing security best practices, and ensuring smooth operations of our SaaS platform. You will collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Infrastructure and Cloud Operations: Design, maintain, and improve Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Terragrunt; manage AKS clusters and Istio service mesh for enhanced service-to-service communication and security; implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions for the SaaS platform; oversee Azure resources (networking, Key Vault, Blob Storage, Cosmos DB); configure and maintain OpenSearch clusters for logging and search; optimize CosmosDB performance, scaling, and cost management.
* DevOps Practices and Automation: Lead and enhance CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps; implement and maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD; develop automation scripts (Bash) to improve operational efficiency; drive continuous improvement in deployment processes and developer workflows.
* Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain Zero Trust architecture using Azure PIM and RBAC; enforce security best practices and least privilege across infrastructure; manage Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) and network security in Azure; ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
* Monitoring and Reliability: Design and implement observability solutions using OpenTelemetry, Azure Log Analytics, and Application Insights; participate in on-call rotation for production support and incident response; lead incident investigations and preventive measures; maintain and improve system reliability metrics and SLAs.
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience in SaaS or cloud-native environments
* Strong programming skills in Python or Go for automation and tooling
* Proven expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure and services
* Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure management
* Kubernetes (AKS) and Helm in production
* Istio Service Mesh and Istio Ingress Gateways
* ArgoCD and GitOps methodologies
* CI/CD pipeline development in Azure DevOps
* Experience implementing Zero Trust security, PIM, and RBAC
* Observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor
* Scripting and automation with Bash
* On-call rotation participation and production support experience
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
* Experience with WAFs and network security in Azure
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures
* Knowledge of distributed systems and microservice architecture
* Advanced knowledge of OpenSearch and Elasticsearch
* CosmosDB performance tuning and data modeling
* Familiarity with Azure API Management and Logic Apps
* Experience with large-scale SaaS platforms
