Candidate The successful candidate will have an expert knowledge of steelwork fabrication, utilising a range of design tools and packages such as AutoCAD and Solid works Reporting to the company MD, this role will suit an experienced and ambitious engineer who wishes to contribute and participate in the successful growth and expansion of the business. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related trade background Several years' of industry experience Expert knowledge of mechanical and computer-aided design Knowledge of computers and MS office software etc an advantage Key Responsibilities of the Role: Assist with tenders for new projects when required. Attending client and site meetings. Assist with designing solutions to provide clients with satisfactory projects/equipment Steel detailing and workshop drawings for components and structures Issuing your completed workshop drawings to factory floor for manufacturing Assist with carrying out required duties in relation to EN1090 compliance Purchasing of raw materials and components for fabriations and assemblies Assist the MD with better buying - Review orders and ensure bestprice is obtained. Issuing drawings to site for assemblies and installations Preparation of safety method statements and risk assessments for site projects/installations Assist with workload on the projects you are involved with (Technical submittals, Drawing reviews, RFI's etc) Possible future implementation of ISO standards Essential Criteria for the Role: Ability to work as a Team member and be flexible / adaptable when aiming to meet client requirements Excellent communication skills Pride in the quality and presentation of work
