Job Title: Maintenance Manager
The role of the Maintenance Manager is a critical one, as it involves overseeing the efficient and effective functioning of the site's engineering department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to planned and preventative maintenance, reaction time to breakdowns, and cost control.
In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will also be expected to:
1. Cascade and deliver key business objectives and performance targets determined at Group and site level for the Maintenance Department.
2. Monitor and control maintenance costs in line with budgetary requirements, obtaining necessary authorization in accordance with Group policies and procedures.
3. Provide leadership to the site engineering team, coaching engineers during breakdowns and overseeing time-critical repairs.
4. Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance team, including determining needed repairs and improvements, establishing project priorities, and assigning work tasks.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years recent experience within a similar role in a Maintenance or Engineering environment, preferably within a food manufacturing industry. They should also possess a Time served or third-level qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline, and previous experience of managing a large engineering team.
