Job Description RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.
We are hiring a Chief 1 Cardiac Physiologist Cath Lab to a Hospital in Dublin,Ireland.
Key Responsibilities Support the ongoing maintenance, development, and strategic advancement of the Cardiology Service.
Foster a culture of teamwork, shared responsibility, and active staff engagement within the Cardiology Department.
Contribute to service planning, including preparation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of departmental plans.
Participate in and cooperate with internal and external service evaluations, audits, and reviews.
Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by developing and implementing Risk Management and Health Safety strategies in collaboration with relevant personnel.
Assist in budget management by ensuring cost control and identifying opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and service improvement.
Ensure modern clinical standards are upheld through regular monitoring, adherence to professional codes, and maintenance of quality assurance frameworks.
Maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with statutory, professional, and voluntary healthcare organisations.
Support research, innovation, and continuous service development within Cardiology, promoting awareness of new advancements and participating in relevant research initiatives.
Perform all duties of a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, demonstrating proficiency in Echocardiography, Cardiac Pacing, Cath Lab procedures, cardiac device implantation and box change support, while adhering to hospital policies, quality improvement initiatives, and Health Safety regulations.
Requirements Hold a B.Sc.
in Clinical Measurement Science, Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Echocardiography accreditation (e.g., BSE / ARDMS / EACVI) is desirable.
Cardiac pacing accreditation (e.g., IBHRE / EHRA / BHRS) is desirable.
IICMP accreditation is desirable for candidates who do not possess the required BSc or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of five years' post-graduate experience as a Cardiac Physiologist within a cardiology department, including at least three years at senior level.
At least five years' experience in the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, with a minimum of three years supporting cardiac device implants and box change procedures.
Demonstrated competence in performing and interpreting Resting ECGs, Exercise Treadmill Testing, and fitting and analysing Ambulatory Holter and Blood Pressure monitors.
Experience in pacemaker, loop recorder, ICD and CRT follow-up, including device interrogation and management.
Proficiency in performing and reporting Transthoracic Echocardiography, and assisting with Transoesophageal Echocardiography (TOE).
Ability to assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, including pacemaker and implantable defibrillator implantation procedures.
