Role: Senior and Staff Grade Psychologist- Primary Care Location: Cashel or Clonmel, Co. Tipperary Contract: Full-time, Part time, flexible to suit the candidate Duration: Initial 9-month contract with strong potential for extension Salary: HSE pay scales Excel Recruitment are recruiting Staff and Senior Grade Clinical Psychologist's on behalf of a Primary care team in south Tipperary. The successful candidate will provide high quality psychological services to individuals across the lifespan, from children, young people to adults, experiencing a range of complex emotional, behavioural, and mental health difficulties. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patients, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, young people and adults. Duties and Responsibilities: Providing psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to individuals across a variety of ages, including children, young people and adults. Deliver evidence-based interventions including individual and group therapy and provide consultation and guidance to other professionals within the team. Managing a diverse and rewarding caseload referred through the Primary Care pathway Working Collaboratory within a Multidisciplinary team with Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Speech and Language Therapists, and other Healthcare Professionals. Develop and implement treatment plans based on the patient needs and best practices. Offer consultation, advice, and guidance to the patient, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Engage in case formulation, therapeutic planning, and goal setting. Participate in MDT team meetings, clinical supervision, and continuous professional development activities. Adhere to the ethical and professional standards set out by the Psychological Society of Ireland and other relevant professional bodies. Eligibility Criteria: Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology and/or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist through PSI. Candidates qualified overseas must provide evidence of validation by the Department of Health at the time of application. Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland. Demonstrable knowledge of a range of Psychological assessment and therapeutic models Previous experience working as a qualified psychologist in a clinical setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Clinical assessment skills working with children, adolescents, and adults in primary care or other related clinical setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
