Overview
Our enterprise client is seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Networking Contractor to support their team during a critical transition period. This role is designed to flex our existing resources and ensure continuity of service and support throughout the migration.
Key Responsibilities
4. Provide day-to-day operational support for our existing network infrastructure.
5. Assist with troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco and Palo Alto networking equipment.
6. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support the migration of users and services.
7. Patch into project workstreams as needed, including physical network setup, testing, and cutover activities.
8. Ensure network security and performance standards are maintained throughout the transition.
9. Document changes and contribute to knowledge transfer for permanent staff.
Required Skills & Experience
10. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in networking roles.
11. CCNA certification (or equivalent) required; CCNP or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE a plus.
12. Proven experience with Cisco networking technologies (switching, routing, wireless).
13. Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and security appliances.
14. Solid understanding of network protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and access control.
15. Experience in supporting network migrations or office relocations is a plus.
16. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
17. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
Nice to Have
18. Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center / Catalyst Center for network automation, monitoring, and provisioning.
19. Experience managing Cisco licensing via Cisco Smart Software Manager.
Contract Details
20. On-site presence required in Dublin.
21. Equipment provided as needed.
