Residential Support Worker

Key Responsibilities:
* Empower service users to live independent lives by promoting self-advocacy and autonomy.
* Facilitate access to daily living activities, appointments, and social opportunities through transportation services.
* Contribute to household duties such as cooking, laundry, general cleaning, and shopping while maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
* Establish and maintain professional communication and positive working relationships with colleagues, service users, and their families.
* Identify and report hazards, incidents, or concerns promptly, ensuring a safe working practice.
* Engage actively in team meetings, supervision, training, and team events to enhance knowledge and skills.
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that meets the unique needs and preferences of each service user.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* QQI Level 5 Major Award in a relevant healthcare discipline (minimum of 8 modules completed).
* Age requirement: applicants must be at least 18 years old.
* Full manual driving license and access to own transport.
* Excellent command of spoken and written English.
* Familiarity with HIQA standards and best practices in disability support.
* Work or student experience in social care or a related sector.
