Job Description:
A new residential care centre for children is setting up in Kilkenny and Tipperary specialising in Residential and Supported Living Services for Children with a range of complex support needs. We are hiring a Social Care Deputy Manager.
Working hours over a 7-day roster involving shift work.
We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to lead a team for the above position. The successful candidate will receive all necessary training and development in line with the role. Candidates must be highly motivated and creative, with a passion for engaging with Service Users on a daily basis. Candidates will contribute to enriching the lives of all Service Users.
Role:
The Role of a Social Care Deputy Manager is to manage and deputise for the Residential Centre Manager, providing care to people who avail of services. Support will be given in developing and upskilling you in providing high-quality care, maintaining professional working relationships with our team members and the people who avail of services.
Support will also be provided to people in reaching their full potential and having a meaningful life through the supports of the services provided to them. This will include the following on a day-to-day basis:
1. Leading a Team and deputising for the Manager in providing support.
2. Supporting people with their daily plan.
3. Supporting people whilst in the community.
4. Supporting people with their education, skills development, and achieving personal outcomes.
5. Supporting people with their living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and family visits.
6. Being familiar with and adhering to all Company policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
Shift work over 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Current roles open include:
* Social Care Team Leader
* Deputy Manager Social Care
* Assistant Support Worker - No qualification required (All necessary training provided)
* Social Care Workers - Level 7/8 degree in Social Care/Healthcare or related discipline
Relevant life experience would be desirable but not essential. A good attitude to work and a passion for supporting people are essential. A Full Driver’s Licence is required or you must be in the process of achieving a Full Driver’s Licence.
