We are currently seeking a professional and highly organised Medical Secretary to join our Administration team on a fixed - term basis.
In this pivotal role, you will ensure that consultant clinics run efficiently and that all administrative tasks are completed with total accuracy.
As the first point of contact for many, you will play a key part in keeping the clinical practise safe and enabling the continued growth of our world-class healthcare services.
Key Duties Responsibilities Working at the heart of the hospital, your day-to-day duties will include: Patient Liaison: Meeting and greeting patients in a professional manner, managing telephone and email enquiries, and communicating effectively regarding any clinic delays.
Clinic Coordination: Scheduling clinics to ensure maximum utilisation of slots, arranging tests/procedures in line with clinical care plans, and following up on "DNA" (Did Not Attend) appointments.
Registration Data: Registering patients on the hospital system, ensuring all demographic and insurance details are accurate, and capturing necessary consents and signatures.
Financial Administration: Taking payments at the point of registration, processing invoices and receipts, and reconciling the cash drawer at the end of each day.
Clinical Support: Actioning patient discharge letters, ensuring clinic correspondence is distributed in a timely manner, and liaising with clinical teams to minimise patient wait times.
Office Management: Managing inbound and outbound post, compiling reports or statistics as required, and supporting the wider Central Administration function.
