Job Title: Culinary Professional
About the Role:
The culinary professional is a key position in our nursing home, with responsibility for ensuring that residents are provided with a nutritious and varied diet, which meets their individual and dietary needs and preferences.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and prepare cooking and serving of delicious and nutritious hot and cold meals as required for residents.
Provide special dietary requirements where necessary, taking into account individual resident preferences.
Consult with the PIC when planning/costing menus to provide a balanced nutritious diet, making best use of available fresh foods.
Ensure statutory health and safety standards in kitchen/dining areas.
Understand/ensure implementation of Home's Health & Safety, Infection Control/Hygiene policies, Emergency/Fire procedures.
Requirements:
Formally trained. Fully certified in HACCP Trained in modified food as per SALT guidelines. Comply with all Food Hygiene regulations. Have background experience managing kitchen environment. Fluent English speaking/writing Experience Nursing Home/Hospital environment an advantage.
