Arcadis DPS Engineering are seeking an E&I Design Engineer (Oil & Gas) for an assignment located in East Cork. This is initially a 6 month contract with high potential of extension.(Instrumentation only experience will also be considered.) This role will involve design and life cycle of all installations and equipment in support of Capital Projects, Technical, Maintenance, Operations and HSE. The Design Engineer is to provide technical design with focus on safety, schedule, and cost management adherence, while complying with good engineering practices, company policies and all applicable regulations and codes of practice. The Role Generating detailed scope of work packages for E/I and automation contractors for tender / procurement process, applying value engineering where possible. Define the Electrical requirements for capital projects and interact with internal & external stakeholders, vendors and contractors for tender negotiation, cost estimates, constructability and safety reviews. Input into Project Management regarding the Electrical discipline within projects including cost estimates, planning and schedule reporting. Responsible for providing the Electrical technical information to procurement for new and replacement equipment. Generation of I/O lists, equipment index, cable block diagrams and Loop drawings (AutoCAD). Knowledge of ATEX and Hazardous Area compliance within the Electrical designs. Assist with the Co-ordination of the E & I contractors during construction and commissioning activities where applicable. Ability to manage workload of multiple projects of varying complexity. Requirements Degree qualified Electrical/Instrumentation with design experience within refining or a similar industry. Additional qualification or experience in Functional Safety, ATEX or related experience is highly beneficial Open to Junior or Senior Level Engineers Why Join Arcadis?
