**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as a Community Support Worker. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and supporting independent living and community integration, personal development, and work opportunities for service users. They will assist the Community Services Manager in developing, implementing, and delivering quality customer-focused and cost-effective community services.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the community, with experience of working 1:1 in the community, promoting self-advocacy, and providing personal care. They will also possess strong IT and reporting skills, be flexible with regards to working hours, and have a basic knowledge of first aid/personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, develop, implement, monitor, and review appropriate educational, recreational, and occupational programs within the community.
* Liaise with families, the multidisciplinary team, and key community-based personnel in pursuit of accessible community activities for service users.
* Document information, update records, and complete necessary paperwork for communication and accountability purposes.
* Ensure all interaction with service users is approached with dignity, respect, equality, and incorporates choice.
* Ensure delivery of a quality service by implementing and reviewing quality monitoring systems appropriate to requirements of each individual.
* Support service users to integrate into their local community and access local resources.
* Comply with health and safety legislation and ensure the safe use of appliances and equipment.
Requirements:
* A minimum of one year's experience working in the field of disability.
* Full manual driving licence essential.
* Access to a car for business purposes insured in your name.
