HVAC/BMS Sales Engineer
Dublin
We’re looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with a strong understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) and/or Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and/or HVAC to support project estimating, solution development, and client engagement across smart building projects.
Key responsibilities:
Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to define scope
Carry out site surveys where required and identify technical or delivery risks
Produce accurate cost estimates covering labour, materials, equipment, and specialist services
Prepare and present competitive proposals and technical submissions
Engage with suppliers and manufacturers to secure pricing and technical input
Support business development through new and existing client relationships
Provide technical guidance throughout the sales and pre-construction process
Maintain accurate estimating and sales documentation
What we’re looking for:
Experience in technical sales, estimating, or pre-construction within BMS, EPMS, HVAC, or smart buildings
Strong knowledge of building controls, power monitoring, and integrated systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency with estimating tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar
Commercial awareness and strong communication skills
Highly organised, analytical, and detail-focused
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
Exposure to supplier negotiations and value engineering
€50,000 - €70,000 on experience yearly
Looking for someone with either: BMS expertise or Sales/Estimation experience in a similar industry
The client have had great success with engineers or previous engineers moving into this role
