Senior Project Manager – Boston Scientific
Boston Scientific invites senior project managers to apply for a permanent role within our Coronary Therapies franchise, specifically within the dynamic and high-growth Drug Eluting Therapies portfolio.
The position will oversee projects ranging from small tasks to large process improvements, design changes, line extensions, and corporate initiatives that drive global productivity.
Job Purpose
This Project Management opportunity is within our Coronary Therapies franchise.
The Project Manager will play an integral part in leading projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects from small to large scope, including schedule, scope, cost, and resource management.
Develop and implement overall project plans, monitor progress against key objectives, prioritize resources, and manage technical challenges and business risks.
Drive and influence results across manufacturing sites and cross-functions, ensuring alignment and accountability.
Communicate key progress updates to all relevant stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Facilitate decisions, foster a diverse workplace, and provide timely communication on project progress and risk.
Provide structured thinking and guidance to the project team, delegating when appropriate, and ensuring a clear decision-making process.
Investigate and develop solutions to address technical problems with project teams.
Direct control over activities, budget, and operations within functional areas and projects/programs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with functional heads to drive project success.
Act as liaison between the team and key stakeholders such as Operations Leadership Team and Franchise Leadership Team.
Lead, coach, and build collaborative cross-functional teams throughout project lifecycle phases.
Direct and provide input to technical approaches on product design and process changes.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Use PLCP lifecycle knowledge to deliver high-quality project outcomes and leverage quality system tools.
Drive functional excellence through policy improvements and cross-functional system effectiveness.
Manage financial aspects, including budget forecasting and strategic plan input.
Education & Experience
Level 8 Honors Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Project Management.
7+ years of relevant experience, including leading small and large cross-functional project teams.
Willing and able to travel internationally ~10% of the time.
Minimal supervision required; strong organization, execution, and communication skills.
PMP certification desirable.
Previous product development experience or knowledge desirable.
Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships.
Technical problem-solving expertise.
