About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Finishing Foreman to join a leading construction company on a large-scale residential development in Midleton, Co. Cork. The project comprises 212 houses and 56 apartments, with an expected duration of 3 years remaining. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering high-quality homes on a long-term project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of on-site operations, ensuring all works are carried out safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring efficient delivery of works.
· Supervise and manage trades, subcontractors, and direct staff.
· Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards.
· Monitor progress against project schedule and report to senior management.
· Manage finishing works, ensuring all snagging and final handovers meet required standards.
· Liaise with design teams, engineers, and clients to resolve technical and construction issues.
· Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
Requirements
· Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Site Manager or Finishing Foreman in residential construction.
· Strong track record in delivering housing/apartment developments to completion.
· Excellent knowledge of construction processes, finishing details, and quality standards.
· Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage subcontractors and site teams.
· Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance.
· Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
· Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
