Duties and ResponsibilitiesComplete assessments and care planning for each resident.To provide a varied activities programme that addresses the needs of all residents as identified from the Activity Assessment.To carryout group session and individual sessions with residents to meet their recreational, leisure social and spiritual needs as expressed by the residents, their families, or caring and nursing staff.Planning and implementing special activities which include outings, garden visits, birthday parties, Christmas and other seasonal celebrations.Completing the daily / weekly program of ActivitiesCreate a Life Story Book for each ResidentCommunicate with families and keeping them up to date on activities and events.Managing the Social Media platformsFacilitate visiting groups to the Nursing HomeFacilitate celebrations of cultural significanceMaintain Residents notice boardMaintain the Activity LogOther duties as requested from Management which may include but are not limited to; escorting Residents to hospital visits or covering for HCA absence etc.Skills RequiredQualification in Social Care, Health Care studies or equivalent is essential.SONAS certified is desirable.At least 2 years' experience working in Care of the Older Person within a residential care home setting is essential.Knowledge of completing the weekly activities programStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrable skills in cooking, gardening, knitting, music, arts and crafts is desirable.Fluent level of English both written and oralJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From €13.50 per hourExperience:Activities: 2 years (required)Work Location: In person
