Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems and assemblies, supporting products from concept through to full production.Top 3 Things to Know About this Job:Hands-on mechanical design role working on complete machines and attachmentsInvolvement across the full product lifecycle - concept, prototype, testing and productionStrong collaboration with manufacturing, suppliers and cross-functional teamsThe Role:Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies for mobile machinery and related equipmentProduce 3D CAD models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materialsSupport product development from concept design through prototyping, testing and production releaseCarry out design calculations, tolerance analysis and basic structural and mechanical assessmentsSupport prototype builds, trials and validation activitiesInvestigate and resolve design, quality and manufacturing issuesWork closely with production, purchasing and suppliers to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost effectiveParticipate in design reviews and continuous improvement activitiesSupport engineering change requests and product updatesEnsure designs comply with relevant machinery standards and safety requirementsThe Person:Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineExperience in mechanical design within a manufacturing, machinery or heavy equipment environmentStrong 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or similar)Good understanding of mechanical systems such as fabricated structures, hydraulics and drivetrain componentsExperience producing detailed drawings and technical documentationNext StepsFor further information, and to apply for this role, please contact our recruitment team.
