Job Title: Transport Planner Location: Dublin (On-site) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: €51,000 per year (approx.) About the Role As Transport Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring daily operational tasks are efficiently scheduled and resourced.
You will oversee the planning and rostering of operational teams, coordinating staffing needs in line with business demands and ensuring smooth, timely delivery of services.
You will work closely with management to support performance targets, maintain training records, and assist operational teams when required.
This role is pivotal in supporting organisational efficiency and maintaining service standards.
Key Responsibilities Plan and schedule staff to meet operational requirements, ensuring effective rostering, holiday planning, and resource allocation.
Conduct forward planning to anticipate future staffing needs based on operational changes.
Contribute to on-time performance by optimising manpower and resource use.
Coordinate training activities and maintain training documentation for operational staff.
Provide hands-on support during peak times or when operationally required.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and overall efficiency.
Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned by management.
Requirements Experience in a supervisory or management role within a fast-paced environment.
Background in planning, scheduling, or workforce coordination.
Ability to manage and roster large teams effectively.
Strong understanding of relevant regulations (e.g., driving, fleet, or operational compliance).
Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
