Responsibilities of this Homeware Buyer include:
7. Select and source products that align with market trends and customer preferences.
8. Manage supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
9. Monitor inventory levels and work within agreed budgets to optimise stock levels.
10. Develop competitive pricing strategies to drive profitability and protect margins.
11. Collaborate with marketing on promotional calendars to support sales growth.
12. Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and sales data to inform product decisions.
13. Ensure the right product assortment is available across all retail locations.
14. Work closely with internal teams to manage demand forecasting and replenishment.
15. Track category performance and adjust product offerings based on sales and customer feedback.
16. Support visual merchandising and ensure in-store product presentation is consistent with brand guidelines.
Requirements for this Homeware Buyer include:
17. 2+ years' experience in a Buying role (homeware, fashion or DIY preferred).
18. Track record of driving commercial success through smart procurement and product decisions.
19. Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and forecasts.
20. Commercial acumen with a focus on margins, pricing, and profitability.
21. Confident negotiator, able to secure favourable terms with suppliers.
22. Up-to-date on market trends and innovations within the retail industry.
23. Experienced in managing large-scale budgets for product buying.
24. Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with teams and partners.
