Eir Business talent is looking for a Junior Business Analyst (IT & Grants Systems Support). The role is based in Dublin and operates on a hybrid model, requiring two days onsite and three days remote each week.
The role supports the BIM SmartSimple grant management system, combining business analysis, L1/L2 application support, data migration and reporting across both the legacy (Fluent) and SmartSimple platforms. You will report to the BIM IT Officer – Grants and play a key role in supporting grant scheme delivery and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support (L1 & L2)
Provide first- and second-line support for SmartSimple users
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues
Manage support tickets and ensure SLA compliance
Support onboarding, training, and documentation
Grants Configuration & Testing
Assist in configuring and deploying grant schemes
Participate in UAT and system rollouts
Data Migration Support
Support migration of EMFAF 2024 data from Fluent to SmartSimple
Assist with data validation, reconciliation and testing
Business Analysis
Gather and document business requirements
Analyse processes and recommend improvements
Act as a liaison between users and technical teams
Reporting & Power BI
Support the development of Power BI dashboards and reports
Assist with data accuracy and reporting validation
What We’re Looking For
1–3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or IT support role
Degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance, Project Management, or a related field
Experience with L1/L2 application support
Exposure to SmartSimple or similar grant management systems (desirable)
Experience in data migration projects
Knowledge of Power BI
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Key Deliverables
Efficient IT helpdesk support for SmartSimple users
Configured and tested grant schemes
High-quality documentation and test scripts
Successful support of data migration activities
Power BI reporting and dashboard support
Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland, i.e. Stamp 1G (spousal), Stamp 4 or an Irish/British/EU passport. Candidates must be eligible to work full time and long term in the location specified or currently hold a valid appropriate long term work Visa to apply.
