Job Description
The Senior Project Manager shall support the Delivery Director in executing projects, integrating with the existing Project Team to plan, track and deliver against programme and budget.
The role includes managing significant work packages, coordinating activities across functions, and ensuring delivery of major projects within agreed time, cost, quality and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Support overall execution of project delivery.
Manage significant work packages/ elements of project to defined time, cost, quality and benefits.
Coordinate activities of all functions for delivery of major projects.
Assist in procurement of core contracts, completion of reference design and related documentation.
Lead tender stage and subsequent construction delivery.
Experience
10+ years project management experience, proven track record on high-value transportation or similar infrastructure projects.
Prior experience in cost management for multiple projects/programmes and development of SOPs.
Tangible experience driving best practice in technical activities, processes, policies and standards.
Good understanding of design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in architecture/engineering/construction sectors.
Experience dealing with stakeholders at all levels to influence process improvement and support delivery.
Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices desirable, preferably within construction.
Additional Skills
Ability to manage technical outputs to drive efficiency.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to govern and drive outcomes for high-quality service.
Qualifications
BEng/BA/BSc in a related discipline, ideally from a science, technology, quality or engineering field.
Degree, diploma or certification in system integration and assurance advantageous.
