Health & Safety Advisor – Pharmaceutical Project
Building Staff Solutions (BSS) are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading contractor on a pharmaceutical project in Tipperary. This is a 2-month contract role supporting site management and project teams in maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on a live construction environment.
Previous pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated industry experience would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities
Promote a positive safety culture across the project.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks.
Monitor compliance with company and client health & safety procedures.
Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and client representatives on safety matters.
Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and project-specific requirements.
Requirements
Relevant Health & Safety qualification (Degree, Diploma, or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a construction health & safety role.
Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation.
Experience on pharmaceutical, life sciences, industrial, or manufacturing projects desirable.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and proactively on a busy construction site.
Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification required.
Full driving licence preferred.
