Exciting Opportunity: Technical Support Specialist(Master / Diagnostic Technician, Kia Dealer Support) Location:Dublin 12 Temporary, Full-time Role- with Potential for Permanency.
This is a newly created position, offered on a full-time temporary basis, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role.
Your Mission We are looking for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our Aftersales / Ownership Experience (OX) team.
As Kia embarks on an electrifying new era, this role is crucial in driving innovation and maintaining excellence in dealer support.
You will take ownership of technical projects, ensure high standards in our dealer network, and provide expert diagnostic assistancehelping us shape the future of mobility in Ireland.
Your Responsibilities Provide technical support to the Kia dealer network.
Conduct dealer visits to expedite urgent repair cases.
Prepare technical reports for Kia Europe (KEU).
Attend KEU conferences and training events to stay ahead of industry trends.
Liaise with customer care teams to ensure maximum satisfaction.
Oversee specialist dealer tools and connected car support.
Your Talents Master Technician qualification with strong diagnostic skills.
Diploma, Bachelor's, or Associate degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, would be advantageous but not essential.
Proven industry experience (Motor Importer / NSC a plus).
EV experience is an advantage.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills, internal and external.
Analytical and creative problem-solving ability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Full valid drivers licence required.
Industry Certifications advantageous but not essential: Certified Master Technician (ASE, IMI, or OEM-specific certifications) High Voltage & EV Certification (for electric vehicle expertise) Advanced Diagnostics Certification from industry-recognised bodies.
Technical training courses from industry-recognised manufacturers.
