We are searching for the best talent for the Senior Process Engineer role to be based in Cork, Ireland. As part of the Engineering Team, the Process Engineer provides technical leadership in the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance within a regulated environment. The role partners closely with Operations, Projects, and Technical teams to deliver robust, scalable, and compliant process solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead the engineering execution of process and equipment projects, including C&Q and deployment in line with engineering standards.
Provide technical leadership for process improvements, investigations, and failure analysis.
Support capital project development, including equipment specification, budgeting, and expenditure control.
Ensure projects meet agreed scope, timelines, budget, and compliance requirements.
Act as a technical SME, supporting Operations and cross‑functional teams.
Drive adherence to EHS&S, cGMP, and regulatory requirements.
Support technology transfer and/or NPI activities, ensuring alignment to technical standards.
Mentor and support junior engineers where required.
Communicate project progress, risks, and performance to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, or related Engineering discipline.
5–10+ years’ experience in a process engineering role within a cGMP‑regulated environment (pharma, biotech, medical devices).
Strong experience in process troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and failure analysis.
Proven experience leading or contributing significantly to capital or improvement projects.
Solid working knowledge of EHS, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable
Exposure to automation systems (e.g. DeltaV, PLC, SCADA).
Experience with SAP or similar enterprise systems.
Technical mentoring experience.
Experience supporting audits, inspections, or regulatory interactions.
Salary and Benefits
The anticipated base pay range for this position is €52,400 to €82,915. In addition to base pay, we offer an annual bonus with set target (percentage of pay) depending on pay grade/location, vacation days, parental leave for a minimum of 12 weeks, bereavement leave, caregiver leave, volunteer leave, well‑being reimbursement, and programs for financial, physical and mental health.
