* We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to provide high-quality person-centered care for patients and their families in Antrim Hospital.

* The post holder will assist in all aspects of direct personal care for patients/clients, carry out other assigned tasks, and be supervised by a Registered Nurse or Midwife.

* The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 Care Award or equivalent and be willing to complete an Enhanced Access NI Check.
">

Key Responsibilities
">
">
1. Assist in the provision of high-quality person-centered care for patients and their families.
">
2. Carry out direct personal care for patients/clients and perform other assigned tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Midwife.
">
3. Follow agreed plans of care and maintain high standards of practice at all times.
">
4. Respect patients' dignity, wishes, and beliefs, and obtain their consent for treatment.
">
5. Assist with the care of patients' clothing, laundry, lockers, and wardrobes.
">
6. Prepare and serve meals and beverages for patients.
">
7. Record and report care activities undertaken accurately to the nurse-in-charge.
">
8. Participate in the care of deceased patients and their relatives.
">
9. Promote and support effective team working and foster a culture of openness and transparency.
">

Requirements

* NVQ Level 2 Care Award or equivalent.
