Opportunity for a Mechanical Lead to join the Life Science team in Cork.
Reporting to the Regional Director/Regional MEP Lead, the MEP Lead is responsible for delivering MEP systems across large and multiple smaller projects, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and meet the company's safety, quality, and energy objectives.
The role also involves guiding, leading, and motivating teams to apply MEP management systems that deliver fully integrated and commissioned MEP systems, meeting design and statutory requirements, and ensuring seamless handover with building systems performing to client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
1. Support the tendering and awarding of MEP packages in line with project pre-construction and procurement strategies.
2. Ensure temporary electrical requirements, including load and energy assessments, comply with management system guidelines.
3. Take responsibility for MEP integration and project delivery as part of the overall project team.
4. Manage MEP elements according to Building Services Management Procedures and Project Execution Plans (PEP).
5. Align and integrate final MEP installation and commissioning programs with the main construction schedule.
6. Engage with utility companies early to understand and adhere to infrastructural and interface requirements.
7. Coordinate and approve builders' works drawings from MEP contractors to meet program requirements.
Minimum Requirements
1. Over 6 years of experience managing large-scale, complex MEP projects.
2. Understanding of MEP supply chain market and dynamics.
3. Operational involvement in all project phases from estimating to handover.
4. Technical, interpersonal, and commercial skills to deliver MEP projects.
5. Knowledge of handover plans, live energies/arc flash training, BIM fundamentals, and relevant engineering degrees.
6. Membership in professional institutions like CIBSE, CIOB, IEI, or equivalent.
7. H&S management training (IO or equivalent), planning, and programming skills.
