Job Description:
We are looking for a customer-focused and enthusiastic desk side technician with a genuine interest in solving people's IT issues. This is an entry-level position; however, the applicant should be technically competent, possess excellent written and face-to-face communication skills, and be willing to collaborate with the wider Global IT support teams.
Based in Leixlip, supporting thousands of users both onsite at the Intel campus in Co. Kildare and across the EMEA region, you will support a customer who sets high standards for themselves and expects the same standards from DXC as their IT support provider.
Day-to-day activities include resolving a wide variety of laptop software and hardware issues and requests, while minimizing disruption to users.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing 1st and 2nd level support for laptops/desktops
2. Monitoring call management system, updating, and closing calls upon resolution
3. Meeting all Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
4. Adhering to all policies and procedures set by the customer
5. Supporting various services including Walk-in Service Centre, Installations, Breakfix, Refresh, Training Rooms, Conference Rooms/AV Support, Warehouse support, Remote Sites, Home Users, and Digital Signage if required
6. Troubleshooting Office Software issues, supporting common Office Suite problems
7. Supporting wireless office environments
8. Offering productivity assistance and training to customers
9. Providing proactive support to customers
10. Participating in project-based assignments as needed
11. Participating in hardware/OS refresh activities, adhering to strict refresh schedules
12. Documenting and updating processes & procedures
13. Supporting off-site activities at Intel Warehouse, including proactive support and incident management
14. Providing support for warehouse equipment such as RF guns, scanners, barcode label printers
15. Participating in weekly AV maintenance schedules, logging, and resolving issues
16. Attending weekly team meetings
17. Supporting Intel Microsoft Teams Room
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
1. At least 1 year of relevant experience (desirable)
2. Professional with excellent communication, organizational, and customer interaction skills
3. Knowledge of and adherence to processes and procedures
4. Flexible and reliable with a high performance standard
5. Quick learner and adaptable
6. Strong customer focus
7. Team player with good interpersonal skills
8. Self-motivated, able to work independently
9. Excellent hardware knowledge
10. Experience in refresh/rollout activities
11. Proficient in Windows OS (Windows 11 etc.) and Microsoft Office suite
12. Manual Handling experience
